Meet the Director
Robert J. Zeglin, PhD, LMHC, LPC, NCC
Dr. Zeglin is an Assistant Professor in and Program Director for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at the University of North Florida. The CMHC program is housed in the Department of Public Health within the Brooks College of Health. He also sees clients at the Jacksonville Center for Sexual Health and is the Founding Editor of the Journal of Counseling Sexology & Sexual Wellness: Research, Practice, and Education. He has experience as a counseling supervisor and clinical program director. Dr. Zeglin also provides consultation services for mental and sexual health agencies. He is also the co-host of the sex science podcast “Sex from A to Z.”
Dr. Zeglin’s research interest is primarily sexual health behaviors and attitudes, with particular focus on HIV/AIDS, stigma, and LGBTQ health. He also studies counselor preparation and training in human sexuality.

CSHERI is comprised of staff, administrators, educators, researchers, and community stakeholders interested in advancing the mission of CSHERI. Members volunteer their time and expertise, and represent various backgrounds, specialties, and identities. CSHERI Student Members
CSHERI also includes students from various field of study and at varying academic levels. These students gain valuable experience coordinating with and learning from community partners, community stakeholders, and university faculty. This is another example of the University of North Florida’s dedication to experiential and community-engaged learning.
